It is a Milestone! The Chief Minister met with activists and promised to hold a public consultation with citizens for elevated corridor

In January 2019, Jhatkaa.org partnered with Citizens for Bengaluru (CfB) to stop the elevated corridor project. The project that would cost 30,000 crore of taxpayers money and will cause several environmental and social problems, was being fastracked by CM H.D.Kumaraswamy. On March 16, 2019, over 2,500 Bengalurians protested this and over 35,000 citizens signed the Jhatkaa petition. The Chief Minister met with 10 activists on March 18, 2019 and promised to hold a public consultation with citizens before proceeding with the project.
