In the course of this campaign, we have distributed over 800 masks to ASHA workers in Bangalore, Mangalore and in tier 2 cities in Karnataka.

Our campaign also led to Minister of Medical education, Dr K Sudhakar assuring doctors of JJM College in Devanahalli that the government will cover their 16-month long stipend. Finally, doctors of AJ Medical College in Mangalore received payment that was due in April 2020.

Our campaign also led to Minister of Medical education, Dr K Sudhakar assuring doctors of JJM College in Devanahalli that the government will cover their 16-month long stipend. And doctors of AJ Medical College in Mangalore received payment that was due in April 2020.

These were two small victories in October 2020. By starting the campaigns again, we want to mobilise public pressure again for more doctors across colleges to get their dues.

ASHA workers in Karnataka have reached out to us to push the Health Ministry of Karnataka to their salaries from ₹8,000 to ₹12,000. After a dedicated and heavy work year, our COVID warriors definitely deserve their fair dues. Will you help us keep up the good work?
