Wrestlers’ struggles magnified, the court takes action!

Indian wrestlers courageously spoke up against sexual harassment and predatory power dynamic within the wrestling federation. We at Jhatkaa.org stood in solidarity with the wrestlers’ demand for reform.
We began a support petition to campaign demanding that the accused WFI President be charged, the formation of a committee to look into the complaints of sexual harassment and the treatment of the matter with urgency at large. We amplified the voices of over 60,000 citizens to join hands to support these athletes.
After a long and sustained struggle, this matter was finally taken to court, where proceedings are underway. Our efforts were successful in magnifying the necessity of change within sporting institutions.
