Save Uttar Pradesh's green cover!
The Uttar Pradesh Government plans to cut down over 33,000 fully grown trees and nearly 78,946 plants for the 111 km Kanwar route project that will span Ghaziabad, Meerut and Muzaffarnagar. Trees are vital for mitigating the heat-island effect, reducing surface and air temperatures through shade and cooling via evapotranspiration.
