Alongside CIVIC, we’re challenging the misuse of taxpayer money for multi-crore projects like the sky-deck, tunnel road, and elevated corridors; initiatives pushed without public consultation, transparency, or concern for our environment.These projects threaten to drain public resources for years, all while real issues like climate resilience, public transport, and basic civic amenities are ignored.

If we come together, we can stop unplanned, top-down development. But meaningful, citizen-led action requires resources, especially when it comes to holding authorities accountable in court.We’re raising INR 5,00,000 to fund a public interest litigation and related legal expenses to enforce governance reforms, support legal teams and cover court-related expenses, empower citizen voices in urban planning. This legal action will push for the implementation of long-overdue urban governance reforms, including:
- The 74th Constitutional Amendment (1992)
- Advocate for the need of conducting the long-overdue BBMP elections
- Formation of the Metropolitan Planning Committee (MPC)
- Activation of the Bengaluru Metropolitan Land Transport Authority (BMLTA)
These statutory bodies are key to ensuring planned, participatory, and sustainable development in Bengaluru.
