Gig-workers are demanding better pay and working hours and people like you are supporting them with tweets and messages. We want to channel this support into organized citizen action.

So far we have over 1700 people are  demanding better working life for gig-workers:

• Fix fare rate per km because of increasing fuel prices. Base fare not below Rs 25 to Rs 30 per km.
• Fixed commission for the drivers (80% share for Drivers)
• Fix work hours for the drivers keeping a cap at 8-10 hours.
• Transparency on how fares for customers and drivers are calculated.
• Health and accident insurance for the drivers.
• The process of penalty, deductions, incentives, and bonuses needs to be properly defined.

While the unions fight this battle in court, we will be supporting them by gathering support from people like you so that the delivery partners, who deliver food to you and me, get paid fairly.

In the coming weeks, we will be getting in touch with the top-heads at Swiggy and Zomato via letters, calls, tweetstorms, and maybe even meetings. Donations, however small or big, will help us sustain this campaign.
