Proposed regressive and sexist course scrapped!

Barkatullah University in Bhopal was set to launch a course to impart age-old stereotypes and reinforce retrogressive ideas about Indian women and domesticity. 

We got in touch with Student Union leaders from the university who, too, felt that the course was inappropriate for launch. We launched a campaign, delivered over 600 signatures from our members to the university’s Vice Chancellors, and repeatedly followed up for a response. We greatly opposed this course becoming a reality and emerged victorious when the course was scrapped!
